Picking It Back Up

Hello, everyone! We hope that you are having a wonderful 2013 thus far, and that the rest of it is even better.

Last year, Fish Out of Water Media began the Patchwork Project in order to raise money for different charities. Four issues of this electronic magazine were published--two less than originally intended. Even so, FOW and Patchwork managed to raise over $100 for Food For the Poor. This would not have been possible without our wonderful artists and authors who contributed their work and their time to create this magazine. It would not have been possible without the generous patronage of our readers. Thank you all very much for your support!

2013 sees Patchwork once again vowing to support Food For the Poor. The first issue is set to be released at the end of this month (February). We hope to publish six issues--one every other month--but this cannot be guaranteed. All of the content for the magazine is donated by generous authors and artists. They do not get paid; they merely give what they can, when they can. When there is no content donated, there is no magazine to publish. The editors of the magazine work without benefit as well, giving their oh-so-scarce time to check everything for grammar errors, put it all together, format the magazine, and advertise it. We do what we can. We hope that this is what you do as well. You helped us to give over $100 to impoverished families of Haiti last year. Please help us to do it again. Stay with us and watch our progress in the year of 2013. Individual issues of Patchwork are available until the next issue is released, and we will announce when new ones are published. Keep an eye out for such announcements, and tell your friends about us!

To all authors and artists out there...please consider donating your work to Patchwork. If you would like to find out more about how to do this, feel free to email us at fishoutofwatermedia@gmail.

Thank you once again for your support!

With great hope for the future,
~Sydney Duplechin
